About
Reiki is a Japanese technique which promotes stress relief, relaxation and also promotes healing. It clears energy blockages helping your body to get into its natural healing state - a wonderful experience whether giving or receiving.
Reiki training courses are managed by Sakura and lead by Marie Easom, together we have been running these certified 1-2-1 courses since 2014.
Marie is registered with the UK Reiki Federation as a Master/Teacher and an experienced learning and development professional and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of personnel and development, Marie is also a qualified CAVA Assessor.
We do not offer group training at Sakura, instead we offer in depth 1-2-1 training which is what makes our courses so popular, courses have been revised to bring them more in line with the National Occupational Standards for health and social care. After the course you will then need to complete case studies to achieve your qualification, you will then receive your certificate.
To secure a training date you will need to pay £50 deposit with the rest payable on the training day, once the deposit is received you will then be sent more detailed information on the course.

Your journey with Reiki begins here with an introduction to the Usui System of Reiki. On this course you will learn how to offer hands on healing to yourself and others and will receive attunements into the Usui Reiki System Reiki triggers your innate power to heal as well as deep inner changes and personal transformation and/or their friends and family which you will gain the knowledge to do during the course. You may have come to Reiki because you have experienced a Reiki healing session and want to learn more and how to perform a healing treatment yourself or just felt drawn to it in some way.
Level 2 (Second Degree)

Once you have completed First Degree Reiki it's often a natural part of the journey to be curious about the next level, or perhaps you want to start your own Reiki practice. Second Degree Reiki enables you to obtain the professional insurance required.
Second Degree Reiki will deepen your understanding of meditation and mindfulness as you learn to work with different energy frequencies within Reiki that guide the energy in a particular way or produce a state of oneness (an important part of Usui's original system). Usui's original system was very much based on working simply and intuitively and at this level you will be guided towards working in this way so that your Reiki treatments become a lovely meditation with another person.
At this level you will learn the ancient Reiki symbols and their uses, you will also receive a further two attunements and be introduced into the healing symbols to use during the treatment. The Second Degree initiation raises your vibration and heightens your intuition. The symbols greatly intensify the power of Reiki you are able to channel, helping greatly in the process of healing. The Reiki symbols allow mental, emotional and spiritual healing of yourself and others including sending distant healing.
Level 1 & 2 Refresher

Perhaps you have already completed a Reiki course but have not really used it since or have just lost your confidence in using it? if so it is worth considering one of our half day 1-2-1 refresher courses to brush up your skills. The courses includes re-attunements and a review of the hand positions and plenty of time to practise time to build your confidence, you will receive a new manual and certificate.
You do not have to have previously completed one of our training courses to book a refresher, we will just need to see your certificate of training.

I attended a full day Reiki course with Marie as my Teacher. I was really impressed with how the day was organised. The Sakura Wellness Hub itself is fabulous and this back with the training from the brilliant Marie made the day one to remember. The course itself covered the background of Reiki and included a manual to take away with some very practical sections on what to do along with additional reading.
